Christmas

As I mentioned before, our Christmas officially starts on Christmas Eve, church, Memaw's, and Adam and Ava each received Christmas jammies before we went to bed, I will share Ava's, but save you the horror of seeing Adam's :)

Christmas day is always a test of endurance for us, (as you will see from the numerous posts I will have pertaining to Christmas) we woke up to do our family Christmas (the three of us!) Ava didn't have many presents from Santa, but I'm sure we will make up for it over the course of the year, there just isn't much she is interested in right now, but
We Santa had to get her a few things. We took her into the living room and once again, as if she had never seen it before, she was much more interested in the tree. We finally got her attention with the presents and she seemed to enjoy the wrappingpaper more than anything. It always amazes me at how they will be so interested in the simplest things. (We always loved cardboard boxes, forget the gifts that were inside, we wanted the box!) After our short time for family Christmas, we made our way to the next stop….

Ava's snow cap for when we go skiing!

This toy she actually did seem to take a liking too!

I think Ava knew it was going to be a long day!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve officially starts our Christmas, as always we have Christmas at Memaw's, which actually is no longer at Memaw's but upstairs at the store now, it's easier on Memaw to be able to go home when she gets tired and not having to worry with all the people in her house. This year we had 45 people at Memaws, well actually only 44 people in attendance (physically) butMolly was there in spirit! However, before we could head to Memaw's we had a Christmas Eve service at church called "A Not-So-Silent Night" that was amazing!
Memaw opening Ava's gift from her, you can see that Ava is very interested and can't wait to see what she gets!

.....still opening...it was wrapped very well.....

Memaw bought Ava a baby bangle braclet, its a little big right now, but she will be able to wear it before long.

Christmas Sunday

Just wanted to share pictures from Ava's first Christmas Sunday in her Christmas Dress!

We held her up to the tree and all she was interested in was the lights, like the tree hasn't been up for a month and like we haven't tried to show her the lights before...

The Youngest Jaguar Cheerleader

We took Ava to her 2nd Jaguar game, yes I know this news is a few weeks old, we have just been uber busy! So I thought I would post a few pictures from the night. We lost, but it was a good game and as always, Ava was the hit of the night :) Our section deemed her as the mascot!
Before the game with her grandmother (who still hasn't decided on a name!)

Nana's Birthday

Nana turned 70 yesterday and we had a part for her. It was small, just family, we ate dinner and then we all took turns enjoying Nana's gift. It think it is safe to say, she took one for the team with her present this year. Why?....here's why...Notice the foot massager, yes, we have all experienced these the day after thanksgiving when we need a little pick me up. This year, we bought one! Now, she won't be able to keep us away from her house, as a matter of fact, I'm trying to figure out a way to skip work just to have my feet rubbed! (Since we all know that Adam just loves to rub my feet- ha!) Here are a few other pictures from the night.

PIcture Tag

I have been tagged by Jenny to a picture challenge. Here are the rules....
1) Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer
2) Select the 4th picture in the folder
3) Explain the picture
4) Tag 4 people to do the same
NO CHEATING! (cropping, editing, etc!)

Okay, so I followed the rules and couldn't believe what picture it was that was the 4th one...it isn't even of Adam, myself, or Ava (Ava hadn't even been thought of at this point!) I will tell you though, I had to go through a few folders, it was actually the 4th picture in the 4th folder, in the 4th folder in the picture folder, did you get all of that?! Drumroll.... This is a picture of Uncle Stewart and Hannah riding a 'horse' at the Dixie Stampede in Orlando. We were down for an Ace Convention and we always go out together at least one night and do something special. This particular year we went to the Dixie Stampede and they were chosen to ride the horse in front of everyone!

I had to include the other pictures of them as well.

Here they are getting instructions

On your mark, get set, GO!

So, I have completed my challenge here are my four people:

3. Abbi

Have fun!

Ava's First Jaguar Game!!!

Call me crazy but we decided to take Ava to her first Jags game on Sunday and it turns out that she is good luck since we actually won! She seemed to enjoy all the sights and sounds and didn't fuss at all. She fell asleep about half time and stayed asleep until the game was over. I knew she would be a good baby since she has always taken to football when its on the tv and I was right (of course!) Maybe this is a good sign of how she will act when she has her own seat next season.

Go Jags!

Ava with her grandparents, she was tired at this point.

Ava visits Santa

Saturday we went to visit Santa. Ava's Meme wanted to take her so we loaded up and went visiting. We had to wait about an hour, but it wasn't to bad and Ava slept the entire time so it made it really easy. I woke her up about 5 minutes before it was our turn and she was trying to take everything in. She didn't cry when I handed her to Santa, but you can't tell from the look on her face, she isn't to sure what was happening and who the strange man that was holding her was. Next year might be a different story!

Christmas Lights

Adam and I decided to take Ava to look at Christmas lights, now, she likes lights, but I didn't feel like unbuckling her from the carseat everytime we passed a house that looked good, so we just decided to take her to the house with the music and flashing lights. We had stopped by for a few minutes earlier in the week and could tell by her reaction that she was going to love them so we decided to make a night of it. Mistake #1- Friday night at 8:00- take my advice- go during the week. It was very crowded, so we thought we would ease our way into a good spot while I fed her, this way by the time she was finished we would have a really good spot where she could see. Mistake #2- parking on the far side of the road, rather than the side with the house on it. We already knew this, but it was confirmed Friday night- people are just so inconsiderate of others. I can't tell you how many people drove by and just stopped right in front of us to watch the show. Now I understand that you have to drive by in order to get around, but that entails you to keep the vehicle moving. There were 2 times the person stopped so long I rolled down my window and asked them to move it along...and boy did I play the baby card- I would hold Ava up so they could see her and know she was watching the lights. (Which to be honest, she really was- she enjoyed them immensely.) Despite the crowds and inconsiderate people she had a good time which makes any trouble worthwhile.
Here she is checking them out and apparently enjoying the taste of her hands :)

Okay, so this one is a little blurry but I was trying to get her with the lights in the background and I couldn't use a flash in order to do so.
