A Trip to the Past

Due to my current condition, or "season" as Uncle Don would put it, I have decided to share a few pictures with you that you may enjoy seeing. My sister and I bought Dad a slide converter for Christmas that you can take slides (think WAY back) and scan them into digital pictures, well its now June and he just got around to using it...I think someone tipped him that we were planning on wrapping it back up and giving it to him for Fathers Day! :) Anyway, some of the first pictures he came across were these...thought you might enjoy...Sorry mom!

In the height of her pregnancy....

Doctor Update

Well, so I had my final 2nd Trimester checkup yesterday....it took all of 15 minutes from the time I walked in the office door until the time I walked out, after paying! I have to go have another glucose test, simply because its routine to have one done between 24 and 28 weeks to test for gest. diabetes....I am really not looking forward to drinking the orange sugar....food already doesn't taste very well, now I have to drink this stuff within 5 minutes time and sit there for the next hour so they can poke me! Oh, the joys of pregnancy! I also gained, to my doctors delight, 5 pounds this month. I'm not too upset about it considering most people have already gained 10-20 pounds by this point, and I keep telling myself that 1.5 pounds of it is Ava :)

I also found out, since mom nor myself knew, that I am O-, which means I don't have the Rh factor and have to have a shot of Rh immunoglobulin, so that the antibodies in my blood don't attack the baby and cause harm. Mom is Rh negative and I ended up being as well, so it wasn't a factor for her, but doctors didn't know that until after I was born, therefore a shot is essential in preventing my body from causing harm to Ava, in case she happens to be Rh positive. Just a quick fact that I learned, more than 85% of people are Rh positive....I told Adam that makes me *Special*
