Christmas Morning

Santa came and left all sorts of goodies. Most of Ava’s presents had been wrapped for quite a while and had been sitting under the tree, but Christmas Eve a few more were put out for her to see on Christmas morning.

Her big gift was her Bitty Baby and all of the Bitty baby accessories. She also received a few Barbies, a digital camera, a bunch of girlie bath stuff, a cinderella doll, several leapfrog tag books, and a stocking full of surprises!

Santa ate all of her cookies and drank all of her milk and even left her a sweet note reminding her that even though presents are fun and exciting, the real reason we can celebrate is because of Jesus.

It took her a little while to figure out what was going on. She was expecting to see Santa himself, and even ran to the window as soon as she came in the front room hoping to see him. Once she realized all these gifts were for her, she was super excited.

Ava and her Bitty Baby had on matching pajamas :)

We didn’t really separate gifts from Santa and Mommy & Daddy, they were just all to Ava, but there were a couple that we said we specifically gave her. One was a recordable book. My Dad gave her “The Very First Christmas” book where his voice read it to her before Christmas and she loved it. Adam and I recorded the book “Guess How Much I Love You” and she has “read” it several times! I think she likes hearing our voice. She actually wanted to read the entire book before she opened any other presents.

I’m not sure who was having more fun with the Butterfly/Fairy Barbie….Ava or Adam…..Should I be concerned? haha!

It took quite a while to go through everything that Ava received, she wanted to open each present after she had unwrapped it, so we took our time and enjoyed it. We had a huge mess, but it was so worth it seeing how much fun she had!

Since Ava is all into the princess stuff, Santa brought tons of lip gloss for her to wear. It sparkles and everything! haha! She wanted to put it on immediately!

Another gift that was specifically from her Daddy was a new guitar, her other one had bit the dust and she kept trying to play it, even without strings and a broken neck, so needless to say, we thought we should keep the interest alive and get her a new one.

It’s more of a ukulele, just because it is easier for her to hold at this point, but I think it might be time to upgrade to a new, real guitar by her 3rd birthday. She already plays it like she knows what she is doing.

After unwrapping everything, we had to hurry and get dressed in order to be at Nana’s for breakfast by 10:00, we had a long day ahead of us.
