Christmas Eve with Papa and Gigi

After work we and before Memaw’s we went to my parent’s house to have Christmas with them and my sister. Ava was excited to see all the gifis and was ready to open them. My sister was running late (imagine that) but we decided to let Ava go ahead and start.

She has always been so particular about unwrapping gifts. She HAS to have every piece of paper off  of it before she can enjoy it- haha! I’m sure that will change!

Like we had done with Adam’s parents, we let her open each gift and if she wanted to take it out of the box we would. It took more time, but she was able to enjoy all her presents for at least a few minutes.

 

She waited patiently while her papa would try to figure out how to get Tinkerbell out of the package. Why is it that they make it so hard to get into the toys? You have to have a degree to get into most of them….

 

Once they finally freed Tinkerbell, Papa had to show her how to work it. She obviously thought it was the most amazing thing!

Ava’s princess collection is complete thanks to Papa, Gigi, and Aunt Stacey!

Ava gave her Papa five (yes I said 5) pounds of m&m’s and a candy machine. They both love m&m’s and you can be sure if you stick around in the office at the store you will catch them sneaking a few piece of candy at some point during your visit! Now they have their own candy machine in his office. Ava was so excited about this gift! I was afraid she was going to give the secret away before he opened it.

They bought Ava a copy of Beauty & the Beast since it has been released from the Disney vault- I was actually worried about it being to frightening for her with the beast, but she begged to watch it. We watched it the day after Christmas and it never seemed to affect her, now she absolutely LOVES it.

One of the gifts Adam and I got from my parents was sunglasses.

Ava takes after her daddy in a lot of ways, but one big way is their love of Toy Story! She got this complete set of toy story figurines and has had a blast playing with all of them.

We all were blessed with great gifts and Stacey did eventually make it before we had to run back home so I could finish my dish to take to Memaw’s. Thank goodness we didn’t have far to drive, I don’t think we had any time to spare!
