Build-a-bear

IMG_89211

Last year, Ava and I started the tradition of going to build-a-bear and shopping, just the two of us, before Christmas. This year I thought it would be fun to invite one of Ava’s favorite people in the entire world, her cousin- Raeleigh. We had a family Christmas party and decided to head to the mall after the party. Shelby drove to the house and Adam strapped Raeleigh’s carseat in and we headed south. Neither one of the girls had taken a nap for the day, so they fell asleep pretty quick which is exactly what Shelby and I were hoping for.

The first thing we did was head straight for Build-A-Bear- we knew that when you have two itty bitty ones there wasn’t any way to predict how the night would unfold. Ava has been a few times, so she knew exactly what to do. I think Raeleigh was mesmerized by it all.

Both girls picked out Clarice (the girl reindeer from Rudolph).

They were so cute and excited about everything going on!

Raeleigh is the little daredevil out of the two girls. She isn’t shy in the least bit and will do just about anything, so it was very surprising when it was her turn to step on the pedal to fill her animal and she all of the sudden started to scream! Shelby and I both laughed- neither of us could believe it!

If you have ever been to build-a-bear you know that you have to pick out a heart and place it in the animal, that is Ava’s favorite part! She loves to pick out the heart and she holds it tight until its time to stuff it inside whatever animal she is building.

I took about 20 pictures trying to get both girls looking at me, but there was just too much going on!

There was only one where I could see both of their faces, but I missed the reindeer! ha! oh well….

Ava and Bug

After leaving build-a-bear we had a few things to take care of in the shopping department and we also stopped and had dinner at Chic-fil-a. Neither girl wanted to say goodbye when we got back to the house. In fact, the next morning when we were in the car headed to church, Ava asked where Raeleigh and her car seat were. :)

Love this! So fun! We havent dont build-a-bear yet, trying to hold off as long as we can! ha! I cant wait though! Maybe for Valentine's Day! :) I love that the girls chose Clarice, shes so cute. It had to be the big bow in her hair that drew both of those bow-headed cuties to her! :) Also love that Ava has her reindeer dress on that day, too! So cute!!!
