A Date With Adam

Adam and I don't go off just the two of us very often. At. All. It’s not that we don’t want to, but to be really honest, when we work all day, the last thing we want to do is leave Ava again to go on a date. We had been talking about doing some for a while, but things kept coming up and we kept putting it off- isn’t that sad…. So I finally said we are going to go no matter what! Our small group took a few Wednesdays off because of the business of Christmas, so we decided to use one of those Wednesdays as our date night and also to get a few more things crossed off our Christmas lists. We ended up going shopping at the Town Center and stayed there the rest of the evening. We accomplished quite a bit and had a nice time doing it. It was also a plus that it was cold outside and Adam and I both love the cold weather, so it just felt like Christmas as we walked around. We decided to eat dinner and we sat out by the fire while we waited for our table. I think once you have kids you really enjoy the down time of not having to worry about a little one running around or staying quiet….. I didn’t take any pictures, shame on me, I should have taken at least one of us. Adam ended up giving one of my Christmas presents that night, and to be honest it was nice, because on Christmas morning it is all about Ava and letting her enjoy her presents (which we wouldn’t want any other way) and we still had presents to open Christmas morning, but there was something special about doing it this way and we both agreed. So what was the present he gave me? He ended up telling me because he wanted me to pick out the color I wanted.

 

Adam bought me the 7 1/4 qt  Le Creuset. This has been on my one day I would like to have it list, and now I do :) I wouldn’t have ever bought it for myself, I would have talked myself out of it every time, but isn’t that the nice part about Christmas presents?! I absolutely love it and have used it a few times and now that the holidays are over will be using it even more!
