Jaguar Send Off

If you know our family at all you know we are HUGE Jaguar fans. Ava is even a big fan. They were having a big send-off rally for one of the games and Adam really wanted to go. So, being the good wife I am, got dressed and headed out, keeping in mind we had a Christmas party that afternoon  AND I still had to make a dish to take to that party.

Ava was excited to be heading to the stadium. She kept wanting to go into the game, which of course we couldn’t because there was no game, but she just didn’t understand it. She cried while we were buckling her in to leave because we hadn’t gone to the game. Through the tears she would say, “Jaguar game! Jaguar game!” haha!

  

We didn’t stay the entire time because, as I mentioned we had a party to get to, but Adam was able to at least see the players.

Needless to say, we had fun going to see the players off, even if they did lose. :(

When we got back home Santa was just pulling into the neighborhood on the fire truck and Ava got so excited. We told her Santa would come see her in a few minutes. He made his way to our house and she was anxiously waiting for him. I kept thinking, I am going to be given the World’s Worst Mother Award if she runs up to him because I haven’t taken her to see Santa at all this year. Well, I don’t think, based on her actions I would have even qualified as a runner-up since she wouldn’t come close to him. I did finally pull her along to get a candy cane from him. She loves the notion of Santa and seeing Santa, as long as he stays at a far enough distance.
