Chef Mickey’s

IMG_8538

On our way home from the convention we made reservations to take Ava to Chef Mickey’s. Adam’s mom and dad came with us and we had a great breakfast.

Ava was able to see all of her favorite characters and all I kept thinking was this sure beats standing in the forever long lines in the theme parks!!

She hasn’t gotten to the point where she will run up to them, but she does get excited to see them and she gave everyone of them a kiss.

She hasn’t ever really had a favorite single character she loves them all, but judging by her reaction I think Minnie and Pluto would be in close running for the top spot.

I wish the photographer (ahem….Adam…) had been on the other side where you could see her face.

We had reservations for like 10:55, it was actually breakfast, but we figured by the time we packed up all of our luggage at the hotel and made it over to Disney, we wouldn’t want it to be any early, and it kept us from stopping on the way home to eat lunch.

After we ate breakfast and visited with the characters, Ava wanted to see Cinderella’s castle again. (Just like when we at with Cinderella). Since we were at the Contemporary, we decided to hope on the monorail and ride it (just like when we at with Cinderella) so she could see the castle.

It’s no exaggeration that at some point (if not numerous times) during our day she will ask me to “take her- see castle” Any time we get in the car all together she asks if we are going to see the castle or Cinderella and the Prince or any of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang (and she asks about each character individually) She never whines when I tell her we aren’t, thank goodness, but I usually respond with “we’ll have to take you to see all of them soon…”

Once we rode the monorail we walked back to our cars and strapped her in her seat- we hadn’t driven more than 500 ft. and she was sound asleep. I hope she was dreaming about playing with all of her Disney friends at the castle :)

Before we left Goofy came over and gave Adam’s mom a kiss- Ava thought that was so funny!

I’m so glad we did the character dinner and breakfast- it really is, in my opinion the best way to see the characters. We have enjoyed every one we’ve been too. It is so much fun being able to see the world through a child’s eyes. Just the wonder and amazement that everything is to them and how even just the little things are so neat and of course, Disney is where even adults can act like kids and its okay ;)
