Fair Time

IMG_8321

We took Ava to the fair and I knew her favorite part would be seeing the animals. My girl isn’t much for riding rides, and I have to say I agree with her when I think about who puts these rides together and how long it takes them to do it…..

Ava walked in Brody and Trevor and even with Brody showing her how it was done, she wasn’t real interested in riding much of anything. We did get on the ‘round-round’ and she was excited about riding the train, but I made her sit on it by herself. Well….the end result? She cried the entire time, and I won worst mom of the year….

In my defense, she only cried when she saw us, and they were moving at a snail’s pace, so I knew she wasn’t in any trouble, but boy did my mom about tear the gate down to get her out, to which I said that she needed to learn, so she stayed put until the ride was over. She wasn’t interested in any other ride the rest of the night, but I’m pretty sure she forgot about me leaving her alone on the train before the night was over….

When both your parents love funnel cakes- I think you have to love them as well- and she most certainly did!

After seeing the bunnies in the animal section of the fair, she was in love. So when we saw this game that was giving bunnies away as a prize, she wanted one so bad. It took us so prying to get her to leave this area. All she wanted to do was have a bunny and the lady kept coming up to us and asking us if we want to play for a chance to win a bunny- ha- yeah right!

To this day, she still talks about the bunnies at the fair. She can even tell you how to win the bunny- according to Ava, all you have to do is throw it (it being the ball) into the water…. I whispered to Adam that it wouldn’t be long before we ended up with one…. Oh, boy!

We did find a game she could easily do, she was the best duck picker :)

She was so good she won a prize :) She picked out the pink guitar and SHE carried around the fair the rest of the night. I would offer to hold it for her to which I received the quick response of ‘Ava do it’.

We ran into John, Tracy, and Baylie- so I had Baylie stand beside Ava to get a picture.

Someone get this girl a strap for her guitar- because she put on a concert for us. There was a band playing and she danced and played her guitar and was not ashamed! I guess watching her daddy play on Sunday’s is rubbing off on her – the guitar playing part- not the dancing ;)

We ran into Trevor and he joined in the dancing fun with Ava- it was so cute- and funny! They definitely drew a crowd!

For about 2 weeks after the fair she continuously asked to go back to the fair- EVERY SINGLE DAY! Even now if you show her a picture she will ask to go back and see the bunnies :)

I know where you can get a bunny for a real good price cage and all - talk to Tracy :) Ava & Trevor were pretty funny.
