Ringing in the New Year

We typically aren't big party-goers on New Year's Eve, we actually hardly ever even watch the ball drop- sort of anti-climatic if you ask me....However, this year, our dear friends, Neal and Marty asked us over to eat dinner and spend the evening with them. We jumped at the opportunity, especially since we haven't spent much time with them lately. Their daughter Caroline was going off with some friends, so I snapped a quick picture of her and Ava before they left- aren't they 2 beautiful girls?

Ava really enjoyed playing with one of the gifts the boys received from Santa..... Forget the dolls and girly toys, she wants the remote control trucks- haha!At the stroke of midnight, Ava received her fair share of kisses. These boys showered her with them and tried to steal all of her sugar- but she had plenty to share.

We had a great time visiting with friends and so grateful to be able to start the year off with them.
