Doctor Update

Well, went for my doctor's appointment today, not much to say, she did feel the baby's position and said she was head down, which is great news! We did the GBS swab, hopefully next week when I go back it will be negative and one less thing to worry about. If positive, all they have to do is hook me up to an IV that has an anitbiotic in it during labor. My blood pressure was a little high, however there was no protein in my urine, so they had to retest it about 4 times and then I had to lay on my left side for about 5 minutes and then they rechecked it and I passed- yay! The doctor just told me to take it easy and keep it down- my first thought?- yeah, okay doctor, I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I'm supposed to take it easy? LoL! I thought that I might have my first internal today, however, she decided to wait until next week- I guess she thought there was no sense in getting my hopes up if I have progressed since technically its still a little early for her to come. (although, she did tell me if I went into labor- she wouldn't stop me!) So until next time I am left wondering how things are progressing. Adam and I did go on the tour of the hospital Thursday night. That was very interesting and very informative. I feel more relaxed about knowing how things work a little better. The nurse gave us some useless information- which everyone knows that Adam LOVES! :) Did you know that before the baby is 2 and a 1/2 years old we will have gone through almost 7000 diapers?! It was also nice to see the security measures the hospital goes through in the maternity ward, it could be a hassle, but I'd rather it be a hassle and the baby be safe than not. We saw the nursery and a few of the screaming babies :) I just keep looking at Adam and asking him if he is ready?!
