Ava Elisabeth: Brad Paisley Concert

Our friends Mike and Christi invited us to tag along to the Brad Paisley concert. We all went together about 5 years ago and so now after the 2nd time, its become a tradition Smile

We all met in Avondale at Mojo’s to eat before the concert. I got these boots back in July when we were at the Mart and had circled this date on the calendar as one of the days I was surely going to wear them!

Mike has been heralded as our ticket purchaser from here on out. He got us great seats! We were in the 5th row on the floor and had pretty easy access to the stage!

Scotty McCreery was the first opening act. We had these 3 or 4 younger girls that had seats right behind us and I really think he was the only reason they were there! They screamed the entire time- and I mean SCREAMED! And not a tolerable pitch of screaming- the girlie high pitched squealing scream. I thought I was going to go deaf and when they weren’t screaming they were singing…loud!

At one point I thought Adam and I were going to roll on the floor and die from laughing because when the girls first walked in and sat down they saw the drum set and started to get really excited. (Before I go further I should preface this with saying that they had discussed how they saw him at another location in town not too long ago.) One girl after getting excited about the drum set, asked another… ‘Do you think if he sees us he will recognize us?!’ OMG ya’ll she was dead serious! But the icing on the cake was when the other girl answered, ‘Probably!’ as in….ummmm duh! Why wouldn’t he?! It took every ounce of being for Adam and I to stifle our laughs!

The Band Perry was the second opening act. Adam nor I knew very many of Scotty’s songs or The Band Perry songs, but both did a good job at their performances.

They were all very good with fans and taking pictures. This guy ^ would bend down and cheese for the pictures if it was in the part of a song that he could do that. Good sports- of course they ought to be, fans pay their salary!

Adam did threaten to get some leather pants like the other brother had on… we all told him quickly and firmly- NO!

Then came the time for the main attraction: Brad Paisley.

I’ll just post a lot of pictures, they are more fun to look at than to read my words! I’ll just say this- he puts on a great show! He is so clever, witty, and creative and it shows throughout the concert.

And I love this guitar. I let that slip and now Adam thinks it means he has the okay to get one….

I had taken Mom’s camera since SLR’s aren’t allowed in the arena and didn’t realize the battery had such a short lifespan. It was dead before the concert was over and it wasn’t due to my excessive picture taking…really! Or maybe I’m just used to my batter that will take tons of pictures before needing to be charged. Either way- thank goodness for cell phones!
