Coloring Eggs

IMG_10921

Coloring eggs was much more fun this year, but also more challenging as she wanted to play in the water…. We actually spread the egg decorating over the course of 2 days. One day we dyed them and the second we decorated them with glitter.

Thank goodness I boiled them before hand- Ava loves to crack eggs when I am baking something, so she kept trying to crack these. I think we ended up with 2 less than we started due to her cracking them.

Adam is always trying to come up with different methods or ideas to do to the eggs. This project might turn into a daddy-daughter thing when Ava is a little older…..

Ava loved dropping the eggs down into the dye and trying to pull them out- I think her hands were stained for a couple of days. Thank goodness we did this the weekend before Easter!

She is so funny- she decided she wanted to pretend they were eyes…?!

The second day of our egg decorating we put ‘sprinkles’ on them as Ava calls anything that sparkles. :) And we gave a few of them the royal treatment and crowned them with tiaras.
