Mr. Charlie’s 60th Birthday Party

Mr. Charlie Gressman was turning 60 and he told Mrs. Linda he wanted a party and he wanted a band! Mrs. Linda called me to see if Adam and the guys would be interested in doing it. A couple weeks earlier, mom had gone to Washington D.C. to visit with her childhood best friend, Maria. They met up with her sister and all went shopping where Mrs. Cathy (Maria’s sister) bought Ava this cute-as-can-be outfit. I thought it was the perfect thing to wear to the party!

She absolutely loves to twirl in the skirt! She will stand in front of her mirror and twirl to her hearts content!

We took pictures of Hallie and Ava together- are they just two of the cutest girls you have ever seen?!

After several takes, we never could get them to look in the same direction- it’s hard enough to take pictures of a 2 year old and a 4 month old separately, let alone sticking 2 of them together.

Even if they aren’t both looking at the camera, they are still too cute!

Gigi and Ava

Baylie became Ava’s best little pal that night, she followed her everywhere. She and Ava started off taking pictures with Baylie’s camera, Ava has one similiar to Baylie’s and loves to use it around the house. I haven’t hooked it up to the computer yet to see what kind of pictures it takes, although I’m sure they aren’t the greatest, either way, she has fun taking pictures of other people. I’m sure it probably is since she is usually the one everyone is taking pictures of!

Now, about 99.9% of the people at this party were southern baptist church goers, so when they started dancing we were floored. 1) Baptists can’t dance and 2) Baptist don’t dance! Well, I have several pictures to prove otherwise, including some of the preachers wife- haha!!! :) Ava and Baylie jumped out there and tried their best to dance like everyone else! Everyone had a great time!

 

The guys played songs throughout the evening and I finally got them together for a picture- I couldn’t get a serious one out of them! Oh well…. at least you can see how they really act!

The party was a lot of fun and there were a lot of people whose lives Mr. Charlie and Mrs. Linda have touched. I hope he had as much fun celebrating his birthday as his friends and family did!
