Sunday before the 4th

The Sunday before July 4th, Ava proudly sported her patriotic colors.



I promise, I pull out the camera and she is such a ham. She poses all kinds of poses, most of which never make it to the blog, and has all sorts of faces!



Later that afternoon we headed over to Fernandina Beach. FBC was having a beach baptism service and they had asked Jason to lead worship, so he asked Adam to play guitar (and of course, if you know my husband, if its music its a yes...)



The weather teased us all afternoon and was even raining a little when we pulled up on the beach, but thankfully it stayed away and everyone had a good time.



The guys did good playing and there was quite a turn-out of people and all of the baptisms went great. Personally, if I had to do it over again, I think I would choose to be baptized at the beach, it such a cooler, more memorable setting.



After baptisms and music, everyone spent time playing and eating. Our kids love the beach! They did not want to leave when we said it was time to go!



We made it a little easier on them when we said we would go to Tasty’s up town (because it was the only place still open on a Sunday night in Fernandina!!) We all had fun and I’m thankful the rain held off and everyone was able to enjoy the time together!
