Getting Ready to Go!

 

A couple Saturdays ago, we brought out all of our ski stuff to begin going through it and start packing for upcoming trip to my grandparents house in NC. Ava was right in the thick of it wanting to try on everything! She ended up wearing this scarf and the goggles for much of the morning. To say she was excited to be around snow was an understatement.

I always try to leave my house as clean as possible when I am heading out of town, it is just so nice to come home to clean house, even if you end up bringing all your junk things from the trip in and piling them in the floor! I usually don’t mop the floors until Ava is asleep because as evidenced by the pictures, Ava insists on helping . Of course, I’m grateful for the help ;) but when I’m mopping I’m usually more interested in getting it done as quick as possible, especially right before a trip since my list is usually a mile long of the things that need to be done.

This particular night I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t realize she had grabbed the broom instead of the mop. She scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed, doing it the same way Mommy did! I’m thinking that maybe I should just give her the bucket of soapy water and let her work her magic the next time!
